Our Story
Wrights Roofing was established in May 1991 by Jason Wright, the current Managing Director.
After completing his roofing apprenticeship under his own father, a disagreement one Friday led to him being sacked. With no money, no business acumen and no customers, but a good amount of roofing experience and full of passion and stubbornness, he decided to go it alone.
Today, Wrights Roofing is a multimillion pound, multi-award winning company employing 39 qualified roofers, 4 Contracts Managers and 10 administration staff, along with a group of subcontractors, over its 2 sites in Nottingham & Leamington Spa.
Investing in Our People
We are proud of our fully qualified workforce. We have a strong emphasis on training, with a dedicated apprenticeship scheme which we have had in place since 1997.
This scheme has produced 72 qualified roofers and counting, in both Pitched and Flat Roofing, working in partnership with both Kings Norton (Birmingham) and Leeds College of Building.
From taking on our first apprentice back in July 1997, we have to date successfully trained to a minimum NVQ2 over 70 Apprentices. This is in addition to upskilling many mature operatives, including 5 former service men from the Army.
All these have added value to our company and many are still with us today. One of our former apprentices is now a Contracts Manager with us.
We are proud to see 16 former Apprentices have gone on to to start their own businesses, employing youngsters of their own and creating a lasting legacy for our Industry.
