Bikes for Bulwell Academy

Since 2008, Wrights Roofing has been forging a strong partnership with The Bulwell Academy, a school situated in a challenging area in Nottingham, that has become the focal point of the company’s philanthropic efforts.

Wrights Roofing’s dedication to fostering the next generation of skilled roofers is evident in their impressive track record. Over the past 15 years, the company has mentored and trained over 70 apprentices, with an outstanding 96% successfully attaining full qualification. This not only reflects the company’s commitment to excellence but also highlights the significant contribution these skilled professionals have made to Wrights Roofing’s success and growth.

The relationship between Wrights Roofing and The Bulwell Academy goes beyond vocational training. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by the students, the company has consistently sought ways to give back. From conducting informative presentations on careers in construction to providing valuable work experience opportunities, Wrights Roofing has actively engaged with the school community.

One of the standout initiatives by Wrights Roofing is their annual Christmas gift-giving tradition. For a decade now, the company has donated two bicycles to The Bulwell Academy each Christmas. These bicycles are awarded to the most outstanding Year 10 and Year 11 students who have not only excelled academically but have also faced adversity in their lives. The gesture aims to bring joy to these deserving students during the festive season, providing a positive and uplifting experience.

EEM Winter Shoebox Appeal

This year, we also were happy to participate in the EEM Ltd Winter Shoebox Appeal. Efficiency East Midlands Limited (EEM) is a free to join, not-for-profit organisation supporting Public Sector organisations in their procurement activities and organised the Shoebox Appeal to support the Midland Langar Seva Society, a charity dedicated to helping those facing hardship during the winter months.

By participating in this initiative, Wrights Roofing continues to exemplify the spirit of corporate responsibility and community engagement and ended 2023 on a high.
